Sampson and Delilah had a true love story.  Sampson died an untimely death in September of 2011 having been attacked by dogs at large who came on to his property and he protected Delilah to the death.  They had survived Oklahomas' inclement weather, wild animals and all other hazards  for at least the last 6 years, always living on the 10 acres they called home.  They were cared for by different occupants of the property and were most recently cared for by the caretaker of the new owner.  Delilah is left to fend for herself, and is rather lost without her partner.  She has never been touched by human hand but Sampson would let his caretakers pet and love him.  He was a gentle and loving Pit Bull who lived an upstanding life.  Godspeed my friend.  May you continue to watch over Delilah from above.
